A 13-year-old girl and a 48-year-old man were apprehended following a severe car collision at a caravan park in Shropshire. The crash resulted in injuries to an 81-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman at the Mile Bank Farm park.
Authorities reported that a vehicle struck multiple fences and gates before crashing into a caravan’s awning, causing harm to the elderly couple at the Whitchurch holiday destination. The incident took place around 10:45 am on Saturday, with the 81-year-old man currently in critical condition at the hospital.
Both the 13-year-old girl and the 48-year-old man were taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious injury due to dangerous driving. They have since been released on bail as the investigation progresses. Police are urging any witnesses present at the caravan park during the incident to come forward.
PC Mark Hobden, part of the serious collision investigation unit, emphasized the importance of gathering information from individuals who may have seen the collision or the involved vehicle before the crash.
