Meghan Markle recently disclosed that during her return journey to Los Angeles from Geneva, she made an unpublicized stopover in the UK. The Duchess of Sussex, aged 44, visited Geneva to endorse the Lost Screen Memorial, a tribute to children affected by online dangers. Following the event in Geneva’s Place des Nations, where she emphasized the necessity of safeguarding children online, she flew back to LA, pausing briefly in the UK.
Upon arriving in London on a British Airways flight, BA269, which had a layover at Heathrow due to the lack of direct flights to LA, Meghan received a heartfelt card from the airline staff commemorating her anniversary with Prince Harry. The card, shared on Instagram, conveyed warm wishes from the British Airways team to the royal couple.
Expressing gratitude for the crew’s affection during the journey, Meghan shared the card adorned with signatures and two red love hearts. Her flight departed Heathrow slightly behind schedule but reached the US by 7.25pm. This visit marked Meghan’s latest trip to the UK since 2024, when she also briefly stopped over during a visit to Nigeria and stayed at the exclusive Windsor Suite in Heathrow’s Terminal 5.
Returning just in time to celebrate her eighth wedding anniversary with Prince Harry, Meghan shared new photos from their 2018 ceremony on Instagram. The images captured memorable moments from their special day, including Elton John playing the piano, the couple’s official portraits, and Harry’s speech at St George’s Hall. Additionally, photos from their reception at Frogmore House, accompanied by a nostalgic dance song, “Land of 1000 Dances” by Wilson Pickett, were shared to reminisce about their first dance eight years ago.
