A courageous grandfather tragically lost his life while attempting to rescue his nine-year-old granddaughter at Tregirls Beach in Cornwall. Phil Crow, aged 68, succumbed to a cardiac arrest in the water as he tried to save Sia Briskham, who found herself in distress due to a sudden tide change.

Accompanied by his wife Tina, Mr. Crow’s heroic efforts led to the safe rescue of his granddaughter by a passing boat. Despite the rescue, medical professionals declared the retired stonemason deceased at the scene. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, five grandchildren, and 11 siblings.
