Air France and KLM, in a joint statement, assured travelers that there will be no flight cancellations due to jet fuel shortages during the upcoming summer months. Concerns arose following military actions between the US, Israel, and Iran earlier this year that disrupted oil supplies.

Despite these events, the airlines have confirmed that they have sufficient fuel availability to maintain their flight schedules throughout the peak travel season in July and August. Air France’s CEO, Benjamin Smith, emphasized that the airlines will operate over 2,200 flights daily to more than 320 destinations worldwide during this period.

To provide customers with peace of mind, Air France, KLM, and Transavia are launching a promotional campaign offering increased flexibility for travel originating from France starting June 3, 2026. This campaign will allow passengers to change their tickets free of charge. A similar initiative will be introduced for travelers departing from the Netherlands.

Additionally, the airlines stated that they will not adjust fares for bookings already paid for in case of fuel cost increases. This commitment aims to ensure that customers can make bookings without worrying about unexpected additional charges.
