Nine individuals have been transported to the hospital following an incident at Jesse Gray Primary School in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. Police cars and ambulances rushed to the scene after a call was received around 2.17pm on Wednesday. The exact nature of the situation remains unclear at this time.

Initially, reports indicated that two students had been taken to the hospital, but the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) has confirmed that a total of nine patients were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

According to a spokesperson, emergency services responded to a medical emergency at the school, dispatching paramedics in ambulance cars, crewed ambulances, and a hazardous area response team. Additionally, an air ambulance responder was present during the incident.

Local councillor Jonathan Wheeler, representing West Bridgford South, reassured residents after receiving concerns about the significant presence of ambulances at the school. He mentioned that a couple of pupils were taken to the hospital for precautionary checks and that parents had been informed to respect their privacy.

Social media users expressed surprise at the high number of emergency vehicles at the school. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed that the incident is not considered criminal, and officers were on-site to provide support.
