A 21-year-old British man, Bradley Passey, who went missing after attending a TwitchCon event in the Netherlands, has been tragically found dead. Passey was last seen on May 30 outside nightclub Munch on Maasboulevard around 2 am. He had been staying at a hostel in the Overblaak Cube Houses area but never returned after the night out. Concerns arose when he did not board his return flight, prompting his family to travel to Rotterdam to aid in the search efforts.

Passey’s sister, Amy, took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking news that he had drowned in the River Maas. The family had hoped for more time to process the news privately before it became public knowledge. The family expressed gratitude for the support received and encouraged continued sharing and donations through GoFundMe.

Numerous condolences poured in on social media, with friends and well-wishers expressing their sympathies and sending love and strength to the grieving family. Despite extensive search efforts by local authorities, no significant leads have been discovered so far, as confirmed by a Rotterdam Police spokesperson.

The UK Foreign Office has stated that they are providing assistance to Passey’s family and are in contact with the relevant authorities in the Netherlands. The tragic incident has deeply saddened many, highlighting the impact of such unexpected losses within the community.
