Ukrainian forces have conducted a series of attacks on oil facilities and a passenger train in Russia and Russian-occupied Crimea, as reported by officials.

A significant amount of smoke was visible emanating from the Grushovaya oil trans-shipment base, where Russian authorities mentioned that 130 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the flames.

Simultaneously, a Ukrainian drone targeted a passenger train traveling from Moscow to Simferopol in occupied Crimea, resulting in injuries to the driver and the unfortunate death of the driver’s assistant, according to regional leader Sergei Aksyonov.

Following the incident, all passenger train operations in Crimea were suspended, with evacuated passengers being provided with alternative transport by the Russian operator Grand Service Express via Telegram.

The Russian Defence Ministry announced the interception of 310 Ukrainian drones on Monday, including in the Moscow region, western and south-western Russia, Russian-occupied Crimea, and the Black and Azov seas.

Meanwhile, Russia launched 155 drones towards Ukraine, with Ukrainian air defenses managing to shoot down or neutralize 124, as per Ukraine’s Air Force reports.

The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed strikes on Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region, particularly targeting the Grushovaya oil trans-shipment base near Novorossiysk, a crucial hub for oil and petroleum products in southern Russia.

Russian authorities acknowledged that a Ukrainian drone caused a fire at the facility, with no reported casualties. While the extent of the damage was not specified, efforts involved 130 rescue personnel and 39 pieces of equipment to control the blaze.

Additionally, the Krasny Yar “linear production and dispatching station” in the Volgograd region was hit, resulting in a fire, as stated by the General Staff. Russian governor Andrei Bocharov assured no injuries, although the specific operations of the facility were not disclosed.

In another operation, Ukraine targeted the Semykolodezkaya oil base in the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula, leading to a fire at the site used for storing fuel reserves supplying the Russian military, as indicated in the Telegram post. Ukrainian forces also struck an oil depot near Feodosia in Crimea, according to the General Staff.
