Disgraced royal Prince Andrew, also known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was seen near his new residence on the Sandringham estate just before the King’s official birthday parade, still sporting a noticeable bruise on his cheek that appeared to be healing.
Last week, the former Duke of York was photographed driving his car with a substantial bruise on his face, prompting speculation about its cause. Sources close to the prince indicated that the bruise was a result of a minor medical issue.
This sighting marked Andrew’s first public appearance in weeks after a security incident while he was walking his dogs near his home. Additionally, it was revealed that he had been subletting three cottages on the grounds of Royal Lodge, despite paying minimal rent for his former residence.
The timing of Andrew’s appearance coincided with his brother King Charles’ official birthday celebrations, including the traditional Trooping the Colour event. The royal family, along with thousands of spectators, gathered in Whitehall to witness the annual celebration in honor of King Charles.
The event featured a royal carriage procession along The Mall, with prominent members of the royal family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, waving to the crowds. Kate, Colonel of the Irish Guards, was elegantly attired in a blue ensemble by Catherine Walker, complemented by a hat from Philip Treacy and the Irish Guards brooch.
The procession included the royal colonels – Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward – showcasing precision marching by the Guardsmen in their distinctive uniforms. The celebration culminated with the traditional fly-past of RAF aircraft over Buckingham Palace.
