Liz Fletcher, the spouse of former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, recently shared a humorous incident from a farm show that initially caused her embarrassment but was eventually turned around by their young daughter.
The couple, known for transitioning from the entertainment industry to managing a farm in the Peak District, have been featured in the popular ITV series ‘Fletchers’ Family Farm, showcasing their agricultural journey.
During a 2024 interview on The Farmer’s Guardian podcast, Liz recounted a mishap at a farm show where their sheep behaved unexpectedly, much to her chagrin. Despite the sheep’s antics, Liz’s daughter Marnie managed to secure fourth place, lifting the family’s spirits.
In another episode documenting their farming endeavors on ITV, Liz and Kelvin made a tough decision to prioritize the sustainability of their farm by parting ways with their beloved alpacas to accommodate other livestock like cattle, sheep, and pigs.
Although parting with the alpacas was emotional, Liz expressed the necessity of focusing on what is commercially viable for their farm’s success. The couple’s farming experiences, including challenges and triumphs, will be featured on James Martin’s Saturday Morning show on ITV1.
