Donald Trump has now positioned himself on the White House steps in front of the Octagon while the United States anthem plays.
Accompanied by UFC boss Dana White, Trump greeted the crowd amidst a display of American flags and chants of “USA, USA, USA”.
Meanwhile, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was escorted away from the Ellipse event by police officers and taken into a Park Police van.
Despite being a former supporter of Trump, Strickland recently stated on social media that he was not invited to participate in the White House event due to his criticism of Israel.
Wearing a black anorak jacket and barefoot, Strickland’s removal by law enforcement raised questions about the reasons behind it.
UFC CEO Dana White refuted Strickland’s claim of being banned from UFC Freedom 250 events, stating that no individuals or actions were prohibited. White addressed reporters to clarify this issue earlier in the month.
