Professional dancer Alexis Warr from Strictly Come Dancing has announced her separation from her husband of eight years, Jake Burton.

The 26-year-old American dancer, known for winning So You Think You Can Dance, married Jake in 2018 after a long relationship from their teenage years.

In a message to her followers, Alexis expressed that after careful consideration, they have decided to part ways with mutual respect and love, emphasizing that they will support each other through this life change privately.

Jake, a dentist, also shared the separation statement on his Instagram profile.

Alexis, who joined the BBC show in 2025, partnered with TikTok star George Clarke and finished as the runner-up in series 23.

Prior to her Strictly journey, Alexis showcased her talent on America’s Got Talent and Dancing With The Stars. She also appeared in JoJo Siwa’s music video in 2024.

Although she kept her marriage low-key, Alexis previously expressed pride in her husband’s accomplishments, particularly when he passed his dental exams.
