Published on

On a Jet2 flight from Cyprus to Manchester, a disruptive passenger, allegedly intoxicated, became critically ill after causing a disturbance onboard. Witnesses reported the man, in his 30s, had been arguing with his girlfriend, leading to disruptive behavior, including pacing the aisle, shouting, and even headbutting another passenger.

Fellow passengers intervened, restraining the man until the plane landed at Manchester Airport. Upon arrival, police officers discovered the man unresponsive and immediately administered CPR, eventually utilizing a defibrillator. The man was then transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Passengers described a chaotic scene, with some expressing concern for their safety and the well-being of fellow travelers, including children. The disruptive passenger’s aggression escalated during the flight, culminating in a physical altercation that prompted the intervention of both passengers and cabin crew.

Authorities from Greater Manchester Police confirmed an ongoing investigation into the incident, emphasizing the man’s aggressive behavior towards passengers and crew members. The individual, now in stable but critical condition, remains under medical care.

Jet2 acknowledged the disruptive passenger incident on flight LS966 and confirmed the individual’s hospitalization. However, the airline refrained from providing further details pending the investigation.
