Vicky Pattison eagerly anticipates starting a family and has already chosen a name for her future child. The 38-year-old former star of the reality TV show “Geordie Shore” tied the knot with Ercan Ramadan on August 24, 2024, and the couple is actively trying to conceive.
The Newcastle native recently revealed the heartfelt reason behind the name she has in mind for her future son. In a touching video released by Alzheimer’s Society as part of its Forget Me Not Appeal, Vicky visited the charity’s Memory Box, a unique phone booth where visitors can leave messages for loved ones affected by dementia. In her message, she paid tribute to her late grandfather.
Vicky’s grandfather, David, passed away in 2022 after battling dementia for several years. Expressing her feelings, Vicky said, “So much has changed. So much that I wish you’d been here to see.”
In an emotional video shared on social media, Vicky reminisced about significant moments in her life that her grandfather missed, including meeting her husband, Ercan. She mentioned, “All you ever wanted was for me to find someone lovely and nice, who loves me. He does both of those things. He reminds me so much of you.”
Vicky also revealed her plan to honor her late grandfather by naming her future child after him. This decision follows Vicky and Ercan’s fertility journey, which was documented in a recent film titled “Vicky Pattison: Maybe, Baby?.”
Despite concerns about her readiness for motherhood, Vicky and Ercan have explored various options such as surrogacy and adoption. Ultimately, they have decided to pursue natural conception. Vicky expressed her fears about her parenting abilities during an interview on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast with host Giovanna Fletcher.
Ercan, however, is confident in Vicky’s nurturing qualities, citing her care for their dogs as evidence. He reassured her, saying, “I’ve seen the way you are with the dogs, I’ve seen the way you are with me, she’s going to be unbelievable. She’s incredible.”
Vicky’s video forms part of Alzheimer’s Society’s Forget Me Not Appeal, an initiative running throughout June to support life-changing assistance and innovative dementia research.
