Carol Vorderman has revealed that her experience on the TV show Strictly Come Dancing was something she “absolutely hated” and has no intention of repeating. The former Countdown star shared her feelings about reality television during a conversation with Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay, reflecting on her participation in the show’s second season.

Back in 2004, Carol took to the dance floor with professional dancer Paul Killick, performing a waltz in the opening week and a rumba in the following week before being eliminated in week two.

During a recent appearance on A Night In with Sally Lindsay, Carol disclosed that fellow actress Claire Sweeney had convinced her to join Strictly Come Dancing, but she had a negative experience and vowed not to do it again even if asked.

Aside from her Strictly Come Dancing revelation, Carol also updated fans on her health journey after battling “chronic” pain last year. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, she struggled until finding the right medication, leading to significant improvement in her quality of life.

Carol expressed her relief at finally being on the appropriate medication, enabling her to enjoy a vibrant social life and overall well-being. She shared her challenging journey on Heart Radio, recounting the difficulties faced and the positive impact of finding the right treatment.
