Alex Jones, host of The One Show, recently expressed concerns about her health as she approaches her 50th birthday next year. Citing her mother’s early onset menopause at 33, Alex shared worries about potentially facing the same situation.
Acknowledging the hereditary nature of early menopause, Alex highlighted the importance of managing her health, especially as she considered starting a family. She emphasized the role of nutrition and exercise in dealing with perimenopause symptoms.
Revealing her fitness regimen, Alex mentioned her love for long walks with her dog and the benefits of Pilates and weight training. With three young children and a desire to stay healthy for them, she emphasized the need to prioritize self-care.
As The One Show gears up for its 20th anniversary celebrations, Alex, the longest-serving presenter on the BBC program, announced the show’s upcoming summer break. Despite a brief absence due to illness, she is set to return alongside fellow presenter JB Gill for the final show before the hiatus.
The show will feature guests like Alexander Armstrong, Annabel Croft, and Gavin and Stacey stars Joanna Page and Mathew Horne. Following the break, The One Show is scheduled to resume on July 27 in its usual 7pm weekday slot on BBC One.
