Heart-wrenching details have emerged regarding the family involved in a tragic car accident caused by Zoe Graham, the wife of singer Rag’n’Bone Man, who was spared a jail sentence. The family’s harrowing experience has been revealed, including the severe injuries they sustained, the desperate cries for help at the scene, and the heartbreaking loss they had already endured months earlier.
During the court proceedings, Ms. Graham tearfully recounted the moment she collided with Samantha Keen’s car, which was carrying her two daughters and son. The accident occurred when Graham, rushing to get her children from school, crashed into the family’s car at 50mph.
Sadly, Samantha and her children were still grieving the loss of their husband and father in a previous road accident. The family was on an outing at an animal rescue center when the incident occurred, with the music star’s partner crashing into them at high speed while attempting to overtake a tractor on a dangerous road in East Sussex.
Following the collision, Samantha, who had lost consciousness, pleaded with off-duty paramedics to save her life, fearing for her children who had already lost one parent. She suffered a broken ankle, facial scarring, and injuries to her hip, leg, and ribs, requiring ongoing medical treatment.
While Samantha had to use crutches and wear an ankle boot for months, her children, fortunately, only sustained minor cuts and bruises. However, all three children now suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and find it challenging to travel in a car due to the crash trauma.
In her victim impact statement, Samantha described the emotional and financial toll the accident had taken on their family, including the cancellation of a planned holiday and the loss of her ability to engage in physical activities. She also expressed the devastation of her car, which held sentimental value as it was purchased with funds received after her husband’s passing.
Zoe Graham, who met Rag N Bone Man six years ago and quickly married him, avoided imprisonment and received a 12-week suspended sentence. The judge acknowledged that the incident was out of character for Graham but emphasized the seriousness of the consequences and warned her of the potential consequences should she violate the suspended sentence.
Expressing deep remorse for her actions, Graham explained that she believed it was safe to overtake and apologized for the distress caused to Samantha and her family. She highlighted the challenges her children face due to anxiety and emphasized her commitment to ensuring such an incident never happens again.
