Paul, the brother of the late Caroline Flack, made his final social media post six years ago, dedicated to his sister. Caroline, the former host of Love Island, tragically passed away at the age of 40 on February 15, 2020, after taking her own life.
Today, it was confirmed that Paul, aged 55, was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
Paul is survived by his partner and their two children. Norfolk police stated that the next of kin have been informed, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The Norfolk Coroner’s Court initiated an inquest into Paul’s death on Monday.
In his last public Instagram post, Paul honored his beloved sister Caroline by sharing a childhood photo of her.
Although not active on social media, Paul’s post received an outpouring of condolence messages. Many expressed their sympathies and mentioned reuniting Paul with Caroline.
Paul was one of Caroline’s three siblings, including identical twin Jody, an older sister Elizabeth, and himself. Last year, their mother Christine spoke about Caroline’s struggles in a documentary, describing her daughter’s death as the most devastating event.
Christine emphasized her determination to seek justice for Caroline, expressing regret for not acting sooner to prevent the tragic outcome.
Caroline, known for hosting Love Island and The X Factor, took her own life following legal issues involving an assault charge. The coroner confirmed that Caroline’s decision was influenced by the impending prosecution.
Christine criticized the authorities for targeting Caroline due to her celebrity status, claiming bias against her daughter.
