Atomic Kitten member Natasha Hamilton has revealed a dramatic incident from her past involving a sword mishap during a live stage performance while she was pregnant with her third child, Alfie. The 43-year-old singer described the chaotic moment when she was accidentally stabbed by a sword wielded by a co-star who had fallen down the stairs during a pantomime show.
At the time, Natasha was playing the role of Peter Pan at the Liverpool Empire alongside Henry Winkler, famous for his portrayal of The Fonz in the sitcom Happy Days, as well as fellow Liverpudlians Les Dennis and DJ Rick Vaughn.
Recalling the event, Natasha shared, “I did panto with Henry Winkler, the Fonz. I was Peter Pan and he was Captain Hook. We had to learn sword fighting. During one show, he tumbled down the stairs, accidentally stabbing me in the belly with his sword.”
During the mishap, Natasha was three to four months pregnant. Despite the chaos, her pregnancy remained unaffected, and she later gave birth to Alfie, her son with former husband Riad Erraji.
Natasha, a mother of five, including Alfie, Josh, Harry, Ella, and Kitty, her youngest child with husband Charles Gay, whom she married in 2021, expressed joy in completing her family with the birth of Kitty Iris Gay. Natasha shared this news on Instagram, posting a heartfelt message alongside a photo of Charles carrying their newborn home.
Reflecting on her experience of motherhood in her 40s, Natasha admitted that welcoming Kitty had brought unexpected challenges, pushing her to navigate through feelings of exhaustion, self-doubt, and the pressures of balancing various roles in her life. She emphasized the importance of being present and letting go of the need to be perfect, highlighting a pivotal moment when her daughter Ella fell ill, prompting her to prioritize what truly matters.
