Published on

Lisa Faulkner has shared that she underwent surgery for early-stage breast cancer. The 54-year-old TV personality had been relatively quiet on social media recently but made an announcement on Instagram on a Thursday afternoon.

In a video on Instagram, Faulkner disclosed, “I’ve been quiet here because I had surgery for the very early stages of breast cancer. The operation took place two weeks ago and it was a significant procedure.”

Despite this, Faulkner, who is married to former Masterchef star John Torode since 2019 and co-hosts the show John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen with him, reassured her followers that the surgery was successful. She mentioned that the results showed the removal of all affected areas, and she now only needs to undergo radiotherapy.

She expressed her gratitude for getting a mammogram and advised others not to postpone their screenings. Faulkner emphasized the importance of early detection and encouraged everyone to prioritize their health.
