An elderly man with a disturbing history of criminal behavior has been sentenced to prison for his online activities involving violent and sexual content. Brian Darby, 80, who once served time for attempted murder, confessed to fantasizing about raping and murdering women and children.

Darby’s criminal past dates back to the 1970s when he was dismissed from the police force for assaulting young boys. In the 1980s, he worked for the BBC as a health and safety officer. Notably, Darby’s criminal tendencies resurfaced soon after his release from prison in 2017, as he was caught engaging in indecent online activities involving children.

During his recent arrest, incriminating evidence was found, including conversations detailing his gruesome fantasies of rape and murder. One disturbing post described a violent scenario involving his wife’s strangulation, while another advocated for training girls as sex slaves and suggested killing women at the age of 30.

Judge John Law, presiding over Darby’s sentencing, emphasized the severity of his offenses and labeled him a dangerous offender. Darby was sentenced to four years in prison, with an additional two years on license, and faces the possibility of never being released again due to the nature of his crimes.

Darby’s disturbing past also involved a troubling relationship with a young girl named Jeannette White, leading to their conviction for conspiracy to murder and attempted murder in 2001. The duo exchanged numerous letters discussing violent acts, including cannibalism and necrophilia.

Despite Darby’s admission of guilt and acknowledgment of his wrongful actions, he must now serve a significant portion of his prison term before being considered for parole. His previous criminal convictions and the heinous nature of his offenses have raised concerns about his potential for rehabilitation and release into society.
