Kerry Katona recently shared her experience of working alongside Rolf Harris on the children’s TV show SMTV: Live, describing him as a “very grumpy old man.” Her reflections came in response to a new documentary about Harris called “Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator.” While Katona admitted to not having watched the documentary, she mentioned fellow entertainer Coleen Nolan’s account of Harris repeatedly trying to kiss her on the lips when she was just 10 years old.
Recalling her own encounter with Harris on SMTV, Katona emphasized that she found him to be unpleasant and emphasized that she is not concerned about her children entering showbiz due to their emotional maturity and understanding of boundaries. Coleen Nolan, speaking on Loose Women, also shared her discomfort with Harris’s behavior, stating that she would often evade his attempts to kiss her on the lips, finding it strange and unsettling for a young child.
Discussing her sisters in The Nolans, Coleen highlighted their lack of surprise when the allegations against Harris surfaced, contrasting it with her own initial disbelief due to her childhood perception of Harris as a fun and talented individual. In other news, Katona mentioned her completion of the Super Troopers run, expressing her love for the project but acknowledging the toll it took on her while juggling multiple commitments and motherhood.
Looking ahead, Katona mentioned upcoming Pride appearances and plans to take August off to spend quality time with her family, particularly her partner Paolo and their children. Reflecting on her busy life, she expressed a desire to appreciate and cherish the special bond she has with her loved ones.
