The Met Office forecasts that this heatwave will be less humid than the previous month, resulting in fewer uncomfortably warm nights. However, amber heat health alerts have been issued for the Midlands and southern England, warning of potential health and social care service disruptions and increased risks, particularly for individuals aged 65 and over or those with underlying health conditions.

Health authorities have also cautioned about a rise in water-related incidents, emphasizing the dangers of cold water shock and drowning. Experts advise the public to exercise caution, particularly near open water, and to follow safety protocols to prevent accidents.
