Peter Andre has shared a rare insight into his past with Katie Price for her latest documentary series. The 53-year-old singer, who was previously married to Katie from 2005 to 2009 after meeting on an ITV show, opened up about their relationship. Despite their public fallout following their reality TV series, Peter has refrained from discussing their marriage to protect their children, Junior and Princess.
When asked to reflect on his marriage and the period captured in Katie’s documentary, Peter chose to convey his thoughts in a statement featured at the end of episode three. He expressed his decision to maintain a positive relationship with Katie for the sake of their children and wished her happiness and peace for the future.
In her new Sky Documentary, Katie reminisces about the early days of their romance, admitting her deep affection for Peter and considering him her prince with whom she envisioned a lifelong partnership. However, their union ended after a few years due to disagreements over work and suspicions of infidelity.
Acknowledging her own role in the relationship dynamics, Katie mentioned feeling stifled by their agent and missing her previous persona as Jordan. The sudden and unresolved split left her heartbroken, emphasizing the importance of communication in a successful relationship.
Despite the challenges, Katie unveiled her documentary series at the Sheffield Documentary Festival, heralding it as a fresh start in her life journey. She expressed pride in her children and family, highlighting her personal growth and newfound sense of peace. Looking ahead, she hinted at the possibility of future marriages, reflecting on her evolving self over time.
Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, a four-part Sky Original series, is set to premiere on Sky and NOW streaming service on July 8.
