Noel Gallagher was seen enjoying a rare outing with his teenage sons, Sonny and Donovan, as they sat in the front row to watch Conor McGregor’s UFC fight against Max Holloway.
Following the fight, which coincided with the England quarter-final match against Norway, Conor approached Noel to greet him and his sons, Donovan (19) and Sonny (16).
Noel shares his younger sons with his former wife, Sara MacDonald. The couple publicly revealed their relationship in 2001 and separated after 22 years. They have made efforts to keep their sons away from the public eye. Noel recently mentioned that his son Sonny has inherited the cheeky chappie persona of the Gallagher family. In an interview with Absolute Radio, Noel shared that Sonny had sneakily looked up his net worth without his knowledge.
During a chat with TalkSport, Noel mentioned, “For your information, that song belongs to the people, I don’t see it as my song. I thought it was a brilliant moment.”
Liam and Noel reconciled after 16 years to embark on a world tour last year. Their iconic song, Wonderwall, has experienced a resurgence as football fans have adopted it as their unofficial anthem, singing it after every England match during the World Cup.
Streams of Wonderwall surged by 300% just an hour after England’s victory over Mexico. Spotify data showed a 306% increase in listeners following the match, with streams jumping from 1,628 to 6,614 after the game. Despite not reaching the number one spot upon its release in 1995, the song later won a Grammy award and has solidified its place in music history.
