Shania Twain, a popular celebrity, received an invitation to attend Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce. However, due to a prior commitment, the 60-year-old singer couldn’t make it to the event. Shania had already committed to being the opening act for Harry Styles’ series of 12 shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, setting a new record for the most performances by a single artist at the venue.
While Taylor and Travis exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden in New York in front of 1,000 guests, Shania was thousands of miles away performing at Wembley Stadium before Harry Styles took the stage for his sold-out Together, Together tour. Despite their past relationship, Taylor and Harry have remained friends, and both were expected to attend each other’s weddings.
On the Fourth of July, which coincided with Harry’s final performance at Wembley, he couldn’t attend Taylor’s wedding. Shania explained the situation on CTV’s eTalk show, expressing regret for missing Taylor’s wedding due to the scheduling conflict with Harry’s shows. She humorously mentioned that Harry would need to plan his future wedding around her schedule if he wanted her to attend.
Although neither Shania nor Harry could be present at Taylor’s wedding, Harry seemingly paid a subtle tribute to Taylor by performing the song “Two Ghosts,” believed to be about her. Fans speculated about the significance of the song choice in relation to Taylor’s marriage to Travis. Taylor had previously mentioned in a 2014 interview, before meeting Travis, about relationships that never truly end, hinting at lingering feelings from past connections.
As Taylor’s wedding to Zoe Kravitz, daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, approaches, it remains uncertain if Taylor will receive an invitation to Harry’s wedding. The dynamic between these well-known personalities continues to spark interest among fans.
