Deputy Chief Forecaster Steven Keates stated that the prevailing weather pattern will bring prolonged sunny spells with temperatures peaking around 30C-32C in parts of England and Wales. Coastal areas in the east may not experience the same level of heat due to cloud cover and cooling sea breezes.

Looking towards the weekend, high pressure is anticipated to return from the northwest, diminishing the risk of showers and reinstating dry and warm conditions. Although temperatures might slightly decrease from midweek peaks, pleasant and warm weather is expected to persist across much of the UK through Saturday.

The Met Office has cautioned about an elevated risk of wildfires in parts of England and Wales due to the ongoing hot and dry weather. Stronger breezes in certain southern areas could pose hazards for water activities.
