Two Love Island participants, Scott van-der-Sluis and Leanne Amaning, have addressed rumors of their split, labeling the speculation as bothersome. The couple, who met on All Stars series three, faced questions about their relationship status after spending time in different locations.
During an Instagram Q&A session, Scott, 25, and Leanne, 28, playfully joked about breaking up but then expressed frustration over being constantly asked about their relationship. Leanne expressed annoyance at the question, questioning why anyone would assume they were not still together. Scott echoed her sentiments, dismissing the rumors as absurd.
Scott clarified that despite being apart due to Leanne’s trip to Greece, they were far from breaking up. Leanne explained that their long-distance relationship sometimes led them to be in different places and not post together, emphasizing that physical distance did not mean they were not a couple.
Leanne, a former Love Island contestant from 2020 with a master’s in occupational psychology, was an original islander in her season. Scott, a footballer for Bangor City, appeared on the 10th series of Love Island in 2023. The couple first coupled up during the All Stars series, finishing in third place.
Despite the show ending recently, Scott and Leanne are among the few couples still together from their season. Other remaining couples include Lucinda Strafford and Sean Stone, as well as Whitney Adebayo and Yamen Sanders.
While Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies appeared strong during the season, they split shortly after. Samie later dated another Love Island contestant, Tyrique Hyde. The pair faced an unexpected turn of events during the Love Island final when they were escorted away and couldn’t watch the show.
