The initial performance experienced a significant delay, commencing over half an hour later than scheduled. Organizers opted to hold the start until the 73-year-old “Ain’t Nobody” singer was prepared. Despite this setback, the event saw some high-profile attendees, including Naga Munchetty from BBC Breakfast, who left during the break.

Originally set to begin at 7pm with a duration of two hours and 20 minutes, the show was postponed until the musician finished red carpet obligations. According to reports, the performance finally kicked off around 7:40pm, although guests were understandably displeased by the wait.

An attendee mentioned the frustration caused by Chaka’s late arrival, stating it was a challenge for the organizers who couldn’t proceed without her. The situation led to restlessness among the crowd, with some individuals leaving to use the facilities.
