A massive fire erupted at an industrial site close to Dublin Airport, prompting several fire crews to swiftly respond. The Dublin Fire Brigade urged residents in the Wimbletown area of Ballyboughal to shut all windows and doors due to a large smoke plume visible for miles around.

Acknowledging the industrial fire in Wimbletown, Ballyboughal, the Dublin Fire Brigade dispatched five fire engines, including a water tanker, to the scene. Simultaneously, another fire was reported in Ashtown to the North West of the city, causing visible smoke in the vicinity.

Despite the proximity of the fire in Ballyboughal to Dublin Airport, airport operations remain unaffected. AirNav Ireland, in charge of air traffic control, advised pilots to exercise caution regarding the smoke plume during landings, emphasizing that airport operations have not been disrupted thus far.
