Nadia Sawalha’s dispute with the Loose Women show has the potential to involve her ITV colleagues, according to information uncovered by the Mirror. The 61-year-old recently disclosed that she had taken legal action against the channel, alleging that she was removed due to her views on Palestine.

Her legal representatives have written to ITV, asserting that Nadia was treated unfairly compared to other presenters who faced similar public backlash. The European Legal Support Center (ELSC), representing Nadia, highlighted concerns about workplace equality and the treatment of individuals advocating for Palestinian rights.

Nadia, visibly emotional in her statement, emphasized her refusal to be silenced and announced a petition demanding a public apology from ITV and her reinstatement on the show. The petition has already gathered over 20,000 signatures.

In a shared video on Instagram, Nadia expressed disappointment over the situation, detailing the challenges she faced after voicing her support for Palestine. She accused ITV of constantly changing criteria and ultimately removing her from the program in July 2026.

Allegations against Sawalha include spreading misinformation and conspiracies about Israel and Jewish people. Despite facing criticism, Nadia denied any antisemitic behavior and stressed the importance of standing up for beliefs without fear of reprisal.

Her legal team claimed that ITV discriminated against Nadia based on her anti-Zionist beliefs, protected under the Equality Act 2010. They have asked for access to documents and complaints that influenced ITV’s decision. Nadia plans to share her side of the story regarding her absence from Loose Women in an upcoming video.

Since joining the show in 1999, Sawalha has been a prominent figure on Loose Women. Known for her role on EastEnders in the late 1990s, she returned to the program in 2013 after a maternity break. The legal conflict arises amidst significant budget cuts for Loose Women, reducing the show’s airing schedule to 30 weeks per year.
