Ariana Grande has once again criticized the Trump administration for using her music in a social media post. The Team Trump account featured her song “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” in a TikTok video that tagged the singer. The post included clips of President Trump speaking at a podium with text partially quoting Grande’s 2024 track. Grande responded in the comments, demanding that her music not be used and calling out the administration for spreading false information.
This incident follows Grande’s earlier objection in mid-June when her song “Bye” was used in a TikTok video related to immigration policy. Numerous artists, including Taylor Swift, ABBA, and others, have also voiced objections to the Trump team using their music for promotional purposes. Some artists have taken legal action or requested their music be removed from Trump’s social media posts due to copyright infringement claims.
