Fourth-ranked Felix Auger-Aliassime is set to lead the Canadian team in the upcoming second round of Davis Cup qualifiers scheduled for next month in Quebec City. Tennis Canada has announced that Auger-Aliassime will be accompanied by Gabriel Diallo from Montreal, Liam Draxl from Newmarket, Ontario, and Duncan Chan from Markham, Ontario.
Canada, currently ranked 12th in the tournament, will face off against sixth-ranked France in a best-of-five tie at the Videotron Centre. The victor of this matchup will secure a spot in the 2026 Davis Cup Finals set for November.
In the previous round of qualifiers last February, Canada narrowly defeated Brazil with a score of 3-2. On the other hand, France secured their spot by defeating Slovakia with a 3-1 victory.
