Peter Kay has cautioned fans attending his upcoming show in Manchester on Friday due to potential disruptions in two-thirds of the city’s bus services caused by planned industrial action.

The 52-year-old comedian, currently on his Better Late Than Never Again tour since December 2022, took to social media to provide advice, stating, “Important travel info for those attending Peter Kay’s show in Manchester on Friday.”

Attendees were urged to factor in extra travel time and verify their bus routes before heading to the AO Arena, where doors open at 6:30 pm and Kay is set to take the stage at 8 pm.

Tickets for the Manchester show, with a capacity of 23,000 seats, are still available for purchase, starting at £99.25. Following the Manchester performance, Kay is scheduled to appear in Liverpool on Saturday before a hiatus from touring. The tour will recommence in Nottingham on October 5 and 6, followed by a show in Glasgow on October 22.

Despite his popularity, the comedian has faced backlash from fans regarding copyright enforcement on social media. Several audience members reported the removal of clips from his shows, sparking significant criticism.

One attendee from Newcastle expressed disappointment, saying, “Honest opinion, £150 for two tickets wasn’t worth it. You know what, he’s been better guys. Tonight I didn’t laugh, I laughed about twice in the second half. Sorry Peter if you’re watching this mate, it’s not for you no more. That’s my honest opinion.”

Furthermore, other attendees have recounted similar experiences of their content being taken down for copyright infringement, expressing their dissatisfaction with the tour.
