US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to share the results of his recent MRI test, conducted in October. This update on his health follows previous criticisms leveled at his predecessor, Joe Biden, and concerns over Trump’s own health during his presidency and the last US election.
The White House has not provided details on why Trump underwent an MRI during his recent physical examination. However, speaking to the press on Sunday, Trump expressed readiness to disclose the results of the MRI if desired.
During a conversation with reporters on his return to Washington from Florida, the president stated, “If you want to have it released, I’ll release it.” He further mentioned that the MRI results were “perfect.”
Trump also mentioned that he was unaware of the specific body part for which the MRI was conducted but confidently stated that he excelled in other tests taken in October. He clarified, “It was just an MRI. What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain, because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt previously stated that the president underwent “advanced imaging” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as part of his routine physical examination. The results affirmed that Trump continues to maintain “exceptional physical health.”
The positive test results are somewhat ironic given Trump’s past remarks on the age and health of Joe Biden, who eventually withdrew from the presidential race. Trump’s recent criticism of Biden’s health, particularly after an incident where Biden appeared to doze off during a public event, has drawn attention.
Referring to Biden, Trump remarked, “He sleeps all the time — during the day, during the night, on the beach. I’m not a sleeper.”
