Mason Noise, the former X-Factor contestant known for his clash with Simon Cowell, has undergone a significant transformation over the past decade. He has shifted his focus to a new career as a spiritual healer, aiming to improve mental well-being.
In 2015, Mason, then 32, made headlines for his confrontation with Simon during the Six Chair Challenge. Following a heated exchange, he walked off the stage in protest but later returned for the live shows mentored by Nick Grimshaw, finishing in seventh place and joining the live tour.
Presently, Mason has embraced a new lifestyle, describing himself on Instagram as a “Musician, Reiki Healer, [and] Inner-Explorer.” He shared with his followers his journey towards self-improvement, expressing a commitment to breaking free from old habits and connecting with his heart.
The change in Mason’s appearance is also notable. From his days on the show where he sported snap caps and a tidy beard, he now rocks a longer beard with a grey chin stripe, a nose piercing, and often opts for a bandanna or bucket hat.
In an interview with the Birmingham Mail, Mason reflected on his personal growth, stating, “I’ve changed a lot. I think I’ve done a whole 180 degrees about who I am as a person.” He attributed much of this transformation to a spiritual journey that involved counseling, meditation, and yoga.
Furthermore, Mason’s newfound outlook on life may have been influenced by a harrowing health scare in 2019 when he contracted sepsis after being bitten during a bar altercation. Recounting the incident, he highlighted the impact it had on him and the changes it prompted in his perspective.
