The Reading and Leeds Festival is gearing up for an exciting 2026 edition by revealing the first six headliners. Charli XCX, Dave, Raye, Fontaines DC, Florence and the Machine, and Chase and Status are set to take the stage at the annual summer event. The festival is scheduled to take place at Little John’s Farm in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds from August 27 to 30 next year. This announcement is significant as it marks the first time in 25 years that all headline acts are exclusively British and Irish artists.

In a new development, Leeds Festival will kick off its Main Stage activities on Thursday with Kasabian headlining at Bramham Park. Other performers announced include Skepta, Sombr, Role Model, Jade, Josh Baker, Kneecap, Kettama, Geese, Skye Newman, Adéla, and Keo. Chris Stussy will exclusively perform at the Reading location.

This initial lineup is just the beginning, with more artists expected to be revealed in the coming weeks and months. The news was shared on social media by both Chase & Status and Fontaines. Drum and bass duo Chase made the announcement on Instagram through a video montage, while Fontaines, the Dublin punk band, also posted a video hinting at their participation.

Last year’s festival featured headline acts such as Chappell Roan, Travis Scott, Bring Me The Horizon, and Hozier. Notably, Limp Bizkit entertained fans at Leeds Festival by displaying a humorous photo of Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher on the Main Stage screens, creating a buzz among the crowd.

While Oasis nostalgia was still high after the end of the “great wait” a year ago, Limp Bizkit paid tribute to the Gallagher brothers with the screen display before their performance. The unexpected gesture garnered cheers from the sold-out audience. However, Travis Scott faced criticism online for reportedly ending his set early, with fans expressing disappointment over the shortened performance.
