British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has returned to England following a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two individuals. Joshua arrived at London Stansted Airport on Friday evening and was subsequently taken to his residence for further recovery, according to reports. The funeral service for his friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, is scheduled to take place at a mosque in London tomorrow, with close acquaintances and family members invited to a ‘janaza prayer service’ in their honor.

There is uncertainty surrounding Joshua’s attendance at the funeral, as concerns have been raised about the potential media attention it could attract. Joshua narrowly avoided the fatal crash by switching seats just before the journey commenced, resulting in the tragic loss of his friends while he sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized.

The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Kayode’s legal representative stated that the incident was an accident and mentioned alleged issues with the vehicle’s brakes. The driver was discharged from a Lagos hospital and later transferred to Abeokuta for further questioning. Joshua paid his respects to the deceased at a funeral home before their bodies were repatriated to the United Kingdom.
