The daughter of a cannibal has shared her enduring love for her father, despite his gruesome act of consuming her stepmother. Jamie-Lee Arrow described her father’s residence as akin to a scene from a horror film, reflecting on her upbringing as the daughter of “The Skara Cannibal.”
Back in 2010, Jamie-Lee’s father, Isakin Drabbad, committed the heinous act of murdering his girlfriend, Helle Christensen, and cannibalizing parts of her body. He was subsequently convicted of murder and confined to a mental health facility in 2011. However, in 2020, he was granted outpatient status and provided with an apartment in his native Sweden.
Recalling the deteriorating relationship between her father and his girlfriend, Jamie-Lee revealed that things had soured to the extent where Helle had chillingly forewarned her about Drabbad’s intentions to harm her. She recounted an unsettling moment when Helle, while serving food, cryptically mentioned that it would be the last meal she would prepare for Jamie-Lee, as she believed Drabbad was plotting her demise. The tension escalated to a tragic conclusion on November 12, 2010, when Drabbad fatally attacked Helle.
Despite the traumatic events she witnessed, Jamie-Lee expressed her enduring affection for her father. She acknowledged that while she loves him, she does not condone his actions and has chosen to keep her distance. In a candid interview, she shared her aspirations to provide her children with a life devoid of darkness and filled with love and safety, steering clear of the shadows of her past.
The tragic incident involving Drabbad and Helle garnered significant notoriety in Sweden, with Jamie-Lee shedding light on her unsettling upbringing in a documentary. She detailed her father’s fascination with dark themes and his unsettling practices, including gifting her voodoo dolls and exposing her to sinister ideologies at a young age.
Despite the harrowing past she endured, Jamie-Lee remains resolute in her commitment to shield her children from similar darkness, striving to create a nurturing environment filled with love and light for them to thrive in.
