A professional dancer and choreographer from Dancing With The Stars has passed away at 47 in his residence in Curitiba. Léo Blanco was discovered unresponsive in his apartment on Friday, and the cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Hailing from Cascavel in southern Brazil, Léo was a prominent figure on the Brazilian version of Dancing With The Stars, known as Dança dos Famosos, equivalent to Strictly Come Dancing. Mariana Xavier, an actress who partnered with Léo in 2017, expressed her heartfelt sentiments on social media, emphasizing his pivotal role as her mentor and dance partner.
Leo’s passion for dance stemmed from his youth, evolving into a career that included personal training. He initially immersed himself in dance during his university days, leading two dance troupes. His breakthrough came with his participation in Dança dos Famosos.
Apart from Mariana, Léo collaborated with singer Luisa Sonza, resulting in their ninth-place elimination. In 2020, he joined Lucy Ramos in her triumphant journey, eventually being replaced by dancer Reginaldo Sama.
Following the news of his passing, fans and acquaintances flooded his social media platforms with tributes and condolences, reminiscing about his amiable nature and engaging conversations. Leo’s social media presence often showcased his sculpted physique through shirtless posts, coupled with glimpses of his rigorous workout routines and recent travels, including a visit to Rio De Janeiro.
