Catherine Ommanney, a former romantic interest of Prince Harry, has refuted allegations of leaving a hotel in Majorica without settling her bill, attributing the incident to a “technical error.” The 53-year-old was taken into custody on suspicion of fraud after the management at the Playas del Rey Hotel claimed she had not paid her nearly £450 bill during her nine-day stay, where she accrued a charge of €500 (£434) using a credit card with insufficient funds, according to investigators.

Ommanney vehemently denied the accusations of non-payment, calling them “nonsense” and stating that she has evidence of full payment. She asserted that the hotel’s error led to the misunderstanding and expressed her intention to seek justice through the legal system.

Speaking to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, Ommanney described the situation as a “nightmarish day,” attributing the issue to a clerical mistake. She clarified that the bill had been settled through a bank transfer as the hotel did not accept credit cards. Ommanney was seen leaving her court cell for a closed-door hearing in Palma under a previous surname due to a past marriage.

Following her release on bail pending further investigation, it remains unclear if Ommanney has provided testimony in court to clarify the situation. Her lawyer declined to comment on the matter without her authorization. The Playas del Rey Hotel receptionist did not offer any immediate response to media inquiries.

Ommanney, known for her role in the Real Housewives of DC, previously disclosed a brief encounter with Prince Harry in 2006. She highlighted their age difference at the time and suggested that Harry sought a more mature and meaningful connection. Despite the alleged relationship, Prince Harry has never publicly acknowledged or addressed it.
