A fervent tennis supporter, known for his enthusiastic backing of Emma Raducanu, gained online fame but was ejected from the Australian Open due to disruptive behavior. James Bray, who caught the attention of the British tennis star during her recent match, was sporting an ‘Australia’ tank top and affectionately referred to as ‘Raddo’ by Raducanu.

Despite the initial positive acknowledgment from Raducanu, Bray’s cheering became too boisterous during another match, leading to his removal from the Rod Laver Arena. Captured on his Instagram story, Bray was seen receiving a 24-hour expulsion and a fine of $700 for his rowdy conduct.

Expressing his dismay at being escorted out, Bray sarcastically thanked the Australian Open for removing a dedicated fan. As he was escorted away by police, Bray managed to find humor in the situation, describing the experience as “quite fun.”

Bray lamented the turn of events, stating that he was merely supporting the players and was not being disruptive. Tennis Australia confirmed that Bray had received warnings before being evicted, citing complaints from other spectators about his behavior.

Victoria Police reported multiple evictions, including Bray’s, due to alcohol and disruptive behavior issues. They praised the overall good conduct of the crowd at the event and looked forward to a successful continuation of the Australian Open.
