A mother in deep sorrow witnessed her teenage daughter’s final moments after a scrambler bike hit her while she was crossing the road on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 2:20 pm on Ratoath Road in Finglas, Dublin, prompting a response from Gardai and emergency services following a collision involving a pedestrian and a bike.

Reports indicate that a scrambler bike, carrying an adult male and a teenage boy, collided with 16-year-old Grace Lynch as she crossed the road. Although all three individuals were injured, Grace sustained severe injuries and was swiftly taken to the hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her wounds at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. A man suspected of driving the scrambler bike was apprehended by the authorities.

Grace’s devastated mother, Siobhan, expressed her anguish and honored her ‘beautiful’ daughter, emphasizing the need for justice. She highlighted Grace’s positive qualities and the profound impact of her loss on the family, urging for action to prevent similar tragedies.
