A 23-year-old woman, described as a shining young talent, was discovered deceased in her Nottingham residence by emergency services following concerns raised by her colleagues. The woman, Stephanie Irons, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Adedapo Adegbola, a former coworker of Irons aged 40 from Woodborough Road, Mapperley, admitted to her murder at Nottingham Crown Court on January 26. He is scheduled for sentencing on February 5 at the same court. Mary Onolunosen from Leeming Street, Mansfield, has been charged with aiding an offender, as reported by Nottinghamshire Live, according to Nottinghamshire Police.
Detective Inspector Stuart Barson, the lead investigator, expressed, “This is an incredibly tragic event, and Steph’s loved ones are receiving support from our team. Our investigators have dedicated significant effort to this case, and we are gratified to have now arrested a second individual in connection with this inquiry.”
The family of Miss Irons previously honored her as a “bright young star” with an infectious smile and a warm heart that brightened every room she entered, highlighting her as a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.
