Around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines are currently working to extinguish a fire that erupted at a church in the capital city. According to the London Fire Brigade, the church located on South Road in Southall is engulfed in flames, affecting parts of the ground floor, second floor, and roof.

Emergency crews from Southall, Ealing, Heston, and nearby fire stations swiftly responded to the scene following multiple reports from the public alerting authorities about the fire outbreak.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade has informed that South Road is closed in both directions between Park Road and High Street, and the public is advised to avoid the area. Two 32-metre turntable ladders were deployed to assist in combating the fire from above.

The first call reporting the fire was received at 9:30 pm, and fire crews were dispatched promptly. By 12:38 am, the fire was successfully brought under control.
