Ruth Langsford Open to Dating Again After Divorce

Published on

Ruth Langsford has shared her thoughts on the possibility of dating again following her separation from Eamonn Holmes, expressing openness to the idea. Despite the emotional turmoil caused by Eamonn surprising her with a divorce, Ruth remains optimistic about potential future relationships, including the prospect of remarrying.

The 65-year-old television personality is set to launch her debut book, “Feeling Fabulous,” a blend of memoir and self-help content designed to guide readers through life’s challenges as they age. Regarding the prospect of romance post-marriage, Ruth emphasized her refusal to impose age restrictions or rule out the idea of tying the knot once more.

“I’m not categorically disinterested in men my age or older,” Ruth stated. “There could be an amazing 75-year-old man who catches my eye. I believe in living without constraints. Keep an open mind, an open heart, and let life unfold naturally. Embrace the journey and see where it leads.”

During an interview with Woman magazine, Ruth mentioned that although she’s not quite prepared for friends to set her up on dates, she is gradually moving forward from her past relationship.

“I’ve always been fiercely independent,” she explained. “Being alone or living independently doesn’t intimidate me. In fact, I find solace in solitude – the freedom to do as I please, when I please, and enjoy my own company.”

Addressing the challenges of life’s uncertainties, Ruth highlighted the importance of choosing happiness after going through tough times, a sentiment she aims to convey in her upcoming book.

Ruth and Eamonn, former co-hosts on This Morning, announced their separation in May 2024 after 14 years of marriage. Ruth revealed in November that the separation deeply affected her and sought therapy for support.

Since the split, Eamonn has entered a new relationship with Katie Alexander, attending events together and appearing in photos during vacations. Ruth, who shares a son, Jack, aged 23, with Eamonn, took a break from her hosting duties on Loose Women when news of the split broke, returning to the show months later. Reports at the time indicated Ruth was devastated by the situation and the swiftness of Eamonn’s new relationship.

Ruth’s book, “Feeling Fabulous: Be your best self, no matter what life throws at you,” is scheduled for release on Thursday, published by Hodder & Stoughton.
