Published on

A man, identified as Allen Osborne, 32, was taken into custody in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, after a witness reported observing him engaging in sexual activity with a deceased deer. Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and confirmed Osborne’s identity based on the provided description. Upon approaching Osborne, officers noticed blood on his hands and face, as well as blood and deer fur on his body. He was promptly arrested, with his trousers found around his knees at the time of the arrest.

Osborne has been charged with sexual crimes involving animals, and investigations are ongoing. The Central City Police Department (CCPD) in Kentucky has disclosed that Osborne is a resident of Muhlenberg County and is currently detained at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on a bail amount of $5,000 (£3,656).

Under Kentucky law, sexual crimes against animals encompass various acts intended for sexual arousal, gratification, abuse, or financial gain. Such offenses are classified as Class D felonies, punishable by a maximum of five years in prison and a fine of $10,000 (£7,400). Per the law, the convicted individual must relinquish custody of any animals under their control and is prohibited from owning or interacting with animals for at least five years post-sentence completion.

Furthermore, the perpetrator must undergo appropriate treatment or counseling at their expense and reimburse the animal care agency for incurred costs. These legal measures aim to prevent future offenses and ensure the well-being of animals.
