Shaf Rasul, a former Dragons’ Den personality, passed away at the age of 55 after a sudden illness at his residence. Known for his appearance on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den online series since its inception in 2009, Shaf’s family shared a heart-wrenching statement confirming his demise.

Described as a devoted father to Sohaib and Sarah Rasul, a loving husband to Nabila Rasul, a beloved son of the late Haji Ghulam Rasul and Parveen Akhtar, and a dear brother to Zahid, Shahid, Ashfaq, Ml Abid, and Juwariah, Shaf’s family requested prayers for him and strength for themselves during this challenging period.

In Dragons’ Den: Online, a web adaptation of the show following a similar format to the original, Shaf featured alongside Julie Meyer as one of the Dragons, with Dominic Byrne as the presenter. The series, running from September 16 to October 7, 2009, showcased Shaf’s entrepreneurial skills.

Shaf embarked on his business journey in the early 1990s, founding E-Net Computers and later achieving self-made millionaire status. Notably, a year before his Dragons’ Den stint, he ranked among the top 20 in the UK Asian Rich List.

Following his passing, tributes poured in for Shaf, with Chris Gilmour, co-founder of PR agency Tigerbond, commending his enduring enthusiasm for life and business. Social media users also shared heartfelt messages, recalling Shaf’s impact on their lives and his positive outlook.

Remembered for his infectious charm and remarkable achievements, Shaf Rasul’s legacy continues to resonate with those who knew him.
