Neighbours’ Doorbell Footage May Hold Clues in Nancy Guthrie Abduction

Published on

Neighbours of Nancy Guthrie are diligently reviewing their doorbell camera footage in hopes of aiding the police investigation into the abduction of Savannah Guthrie’s elderly mother. A resident living approximately 2.5 miles from Nancy’s Tucson, Arizona, home has shared new footage captured by Fox News Digital, depicting a vehicle speeding down the street shortly after authorities suspect Nancy was taken from her house.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has acknowledged the recently surfaced Ring camera footage but refrained from commenting on its potential significance in the case. Neighbors Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas unveiled the footage, indicating that law enforcement had not visited their neighborhood in the past 25 days. Their property, located about seven minutes away from Nancy’s residence, offers an exit route from the neighborhood without passing through major intersections.

Despite the sheriff’s office’s prior appeal for Ring camera footage within a two-mile radius during specific timeframes, the footage provided by the Stratigouleas family fell outside these parameters. One of the videos captured by the Stratigouleas was recorded at approximately 2:36 a.m. on February 1, just eight minutes after Nancy’s last interaction with her iPhone, as per the sheriff’s timeline.

Nancy, who was abducted on February 1, has been missing for nearly a month. Savannah Guthrie recently announced a $1 million reward from the Guthrie family for any information leading to Nancy’s safe return. Additionally, the family will donate $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, while the FBI’s $100,000 reward remains active.

Footage and images released by the FBI and sheriff’s office show an armed intruder approaching Nancy’s home, tampering with the front door camera. Nancy’s doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m., with a person appearing on the camera at 2:12 a.m. Subsequently, Nancy’s pacemaker was disconnected from her mobile phone app at 2:28 a.m.

Nancy was last seen alive by her family after a dinner with her daughter on January 31, and the alarm was raised the following day when she failed to join a virtual church service.
