An Australian tourist stuck in Dubai following the Iranian missile attack that shut down the city’s airport recounted his harrowing experience. Scott Graham, who was near the Fairmont The Palm hotel at the time of the explosion, described feeling the impact of the blast just 200 meters away.

Speaking to 9 News, Scott explained that he was at a restaurant across the road when the explosion occurred, causing chaos and panic among patrons. The shockwave from the blast shook the building, leaving dust everywhere.

Amid the ongoing missile strikes and emergency alerts, Scott highlighted the fear and uncertainty that gripped the area. He praised the UAE’s emergency alert system for its effectiveness in providing timely information and guidance to residents and visitors.

With flights canceled across major Middle Eastern airports, including Dubai, Scott expressed his anxiety and described the deserted streets and closed shops in the city. He mentioned that people were seeking refuge in hotels, unsure of when the situation would stabilize.
