She described the situation as terrifying, especially since it was her first visit back to Dubai in three years.

While some individuals managed to leave Dubai on the evacuation flight, many others, including families on holiday or visiting relatives, faced challenges in returning home. Amy Maguire, 23, who was vacationing with her baby daughter Anabel and her parents, described the ordeal as horrifying, with unsettling sounds prompting them to seek shelter in a hotel room.

Reports from the Daily Mail highlighted the account of Fay McCaul, 41, who faced delays and uncertainty while trying to board her flight back to London amidst sirens warning of potential missile strikes in the UAE airport. The chaotic situation left passengers confused and anxious about the unfolding events.

Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper revealed that approximately 300,000 British citizens in Gulf countries were at risk due to the tensions with Iran. Plans are being devised to evacuate them overland from UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar to Saudi Arabia.
